Improve Your Attitude to Improve Your Life

The late, great Earl Nightingale called attitude the "magic word" and said, "The attitude is the foundation for success." The dictionary defines attitude as "mode of thinking, the body position. It is also said that:" Our attitude in life often determines our altitude "and" Attitude is the way to communicate your status encouragement to others. "A good attitude is essential to self-improvement.

So where do you come from our attitudes? Our attitudes come from our thoughts and feelings. The good news is that we can choose our attitude. The events of our lives are neutral so we can choose how to respond to them and thus choose our attitude. As William Shakespeare said: "Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so." Jack Canfield uses this equation to explain: ER = O, the biggest event in our response to it is equal to the results obtained.

"You can not control many of the things or events in his life, but you can control the attitude we take toward things that happen in your life." Tim Connor.

Here's a story about attitudes: Two children were used to carry out an experiment. The child was first placed in a room full of all kinds of toys and told him he could play with no less than he liked, but could not take any of them at home. The second child was placed in a room containing a huge pile of horse manure. Half an hour later, scientists rediscovered what the two boys were doing. When they opened the door of the first boy's room she found him too busy to break all the toys.

When asked why he did, he replied: "If I can not then nobody will!" Then they opened the door of the second child's room. He was furious clearing the pile of dung with a shovel. When asked why he replied: "With all this horse manure that here there must be a pony under here somewhere!" Who had the best attitude? That story is not only a metaphor, but I'm sure you see what I'm getting.

So what is your attitude like and where are you taking? Is your attitude helping or hindering you? Your attitude can make you or break you. Everything we do in life is either help us or hurt us. It is well helps us to better life that we desire for ourselves or that prevents us from achieving this. If something bad happens you have in mind that you can choose to have a positive attitude towards it or a negative. Consider this: Is a negative attitude will make us feel better about it or worse? A negative attitude will not help overcome them.

To return to Jack Canfield, if you decide to respond to the event with a better attitude you will get a better result. All this sounds simple, and it is, but that does not mean it will be easy. I know, I've been in the depths of despair in my life. Like anything else in life takes practice. As someone famous once said: "A positive mood (attitude) will not solve its problems, but will put you in a better mood to face them." Henry Ford put it this way: "Do not find fault, find a remedy." So keep practicing to adopt a better attitude to events in his life and always remember:

"You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by trying. Success is achieved and maintained by those who keep trying with a positive mental attitude."
Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone.
